New Brockton High School 14-years football player dies after collapsing during football practice

NEW BROCKTON, a high school football player in Alabama, died Tuesday afternoon at football practice during drills.

A football player of New Brockton High School, who died Tuesday was identified, a report says.

The football player was identified as 14-year-old Semaj Wilkins who was a varsity player and freshman, according to Coffee County Coroner Arnold

Enterprise Rescue took Semaj Wilkins to Medical Center Enterprise where he died. "While additional details will be released later," said Mr. Woodham.

Added Mr. Woodham, “prayer for his family, his teammates, his coaches, and all affected by the tragic loss of Mr. Wilkins,”

Kelly Cobb, the Coffee County Schools Superintendent said the District Attorney’s office and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death.
